On September 25, 2004, the Sigma Nu Educational Foundation Board of Directors, Staff, friends, and family gathered to dedicate the opening of the Memorial Flag Pavilion and Phase Two of the Pathway of Honor. The Memorial serves as a fitting and lasting tribute to honor all Canadian and American Sigma Nu Servicemen who have done so much for so many. Phase Two of the Pathway of Honor leads visitors from the front of the Headquarters building to the Memorial.
The pathway has two sections. The first is for our Veterans. Bricks purchased by, or for veterans will be placed in the pathway by branch of service, including civil service (Army, Navy, Air Force, Marines, etc.) The second section is for those non-veteran contributors (including undergraduates and alumni chapters) to the Memorial.
Various giving levels have been established so every collegiate and alumni brother has an opportunity to help build this fitting and lasting Memorial. Note: Contributions are tax deductible.
Contribution Levels
- Presidential Service Citation $25 - $199
- Distinguished Service Medal $200 - $499
- Medal of Valor $500 - $999
- Legion of Honor Medal $1,000 - $4,999
- VMI Society $5,000 or higher
Donors of $200 or more will receive a personalized rendering of the Memorial and have a brick placed in Phase Two of the Pathway of Honor. The names of our Sigma Nu veterans will be listed in the Hall of Fame.
Also, veterans who have served in more than one branch of service and wish to be recognized as such may purchase additional bricks at the reduced rate of $175 each. A separate rendering will be sent for each brick purchased.
